Clinical Analyst

Department: IT
Location: Indianapolis, IN

The Clinical Analyst will provide support to other Jane Pauley CHC teams and end users. The Clinical Analyst will gain in-depth knowledge of the software by attending training directed by OCHIN and completing OCHIN required training and monthly meetings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for Epic EMR build/revision of Epic application
  • Responsible for specialty functions (i.e.,, data courier, security analyst, reporting analyst).
  • Responsible for meeting/exceeding service level expectations for incident ticket response and resolution
  • Responsible for identifying, researching, testing and implementing enhancement and optimization workflows/build
  • Work with Epic representatives and Jane Pauley CHC departments/end users to ensure that meets our business needs
  • Performs in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic Software
  • Work with clinical staff in a capacity that is aimed at providing a more in depth look into clinical workflows, data collection, report details, and other clinically essential job responsibilities
  • Responsible for creating training documents, as well as, training clinical staff on new Epic EHR enhancements
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all processes, procedures, and analytical findings of Epic EHR and supporting systems

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to accomplish each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
  • RN, LPN or CMA/RMA clinical license required.
  • 1 year of OCHIN Epic experience required.
  • 3 or more years of health care and/or IT experience highly preferred.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Spark).

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk, as well as reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
