Accounting Manager

Summary

Under the general direction of the Finance Director, oversees various Clinic financial operations including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and auditing as assigned. Assist in developing systems, policies, and procedures for transacting financial matters; and ensures that the financial system is accurate, efficient, and in accordance with professional accounting practices and governmental regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepare and /or assist in the preparation of reports as required by state and federal regulations, annual corporate tax returns, and cost reports
  • Prepare monthly, weekly, and annual Adjusting general journal entries
  • Organize, direct, and control the retention of historical accounting and legal records, ensuring that all information is safely stored and available on short notice
  • Support in preparing monthly and annual financial reports, including preparing the annual budget for all organizational entities
  • Prepare monthly and annual work reports to support general journal entries and financial statement balances
  • Responsible for fixed asset accounting and associated accounting transactions
  • Assist in developing/implementation of financial systems as needed
  • Prepare monthly and annual reconciliation for various accounts as assigned
  • Support in developing/implementation of financial systems as needed
  • Assist and/or prepare other various financial reports and analysis as needed
  • Reply to requests/inquiries for any account information
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university required; Master’s degree/CPA preferred
• Three (3) years extensive experience in the accounting field
• Health care accounting and/or business experience preferred
• Strong assessment skills required
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Leadership and organizational skills essential
• Experience with Sage Intacct a plus

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
