Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our Indianapolis team and support the overall health and wellness of our patient population. In this role, you’ll work closely with nurse practitioners, healthcare staff, and community partners to provide individualized and group-based nutrition education and support. You’ll help close gaps in care, empower patients with practical tools, and play an important role in promoting healthier lifestyles.

Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Conduct nutritional assessments for patients and document findings.
  • Create individualized nutrition plans based on medical history, dietary needs, and lifestyle.
  • Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Develop and lead group classes or educational seminars.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to promote wellness initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
  • Assist with community events and health fairs as needed.
  • Stay current on nutrition trends and best practices.
  • Support food pantry efforts by consulting on nutritional content of food items.
  • Develop healthy recipes and lead cooking classes tailored to chronic disease management.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and the development of nutrition protocols.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or certified as a Health Educator.
  • Licensed by the Indiana State Dietetics Licensing Board or certified as a Health Education Specialist.
  • At least one (1) year of experience as a Dietitian or Health Educator preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of nutritional science and dietary planning.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Proficient in organizing patient data and maintaining confidential records.
