Summary

The HR Generalist will be responsible for aspects of human resources department related to compensation, hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations. This role reports to the HR Manager and administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborates with hiring managers and the JPCHC talent acquisition team on all open requisitions from need identification to new hire orientation.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures reports are in compliance.
  • In conjunction with the company Recruiter, recruits, interviews, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
  • Acts as backup for new employee orientation.
  • Assists the HR Director and HR Managers for management, and staff, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, and harassment claims.
  • Investigates and advises the HR Manager in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues, escalating when appropriate.
  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
  • Respond to and process unemployment claims.
  • Conducts exit interviews, captures/compiles appropriate data, and determines reasons behind separations.
  • Assists department in medical staff and payor credentialing and privileging process.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Five years of human resource experience required.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ADP Workforce Now Human Resource systems; Internet Explorer Internet software; ADP Workforce Now Payroll systems; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred
