Job Title: Director of Nursing - ASAM 3.5 Facility

ROLE OVERVIEW: The Director of Nursing of the ASAM 3.5 Facility serves as the Turning Point champion for excellence in the delivery of residential substance use disorder treatment services. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, clinical services, and administrative functions of the ASAM 3.5 facility. This includes ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, developing and implementing treatment plans, coordinating with external partners, and managing staff. The Manager will work collaboratively to ensure alignment of services provided by the ASAM 3.5 facility to meet the needs of our community.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • One to three years of significant leadership in a substance use disorder treatment facility.
  • Preferred experience in the mental health/addiction behavioral health field.
  • Past experience in business administration and in working closely with partnerships and community leaders.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree

REQUIRED LICENSE:

  • Registered Nurse
  • Clinical license (i.e., LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAC) is preferred.

PREREQUISITE SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills in past positions consistent with the Mission and leadership philosophy of Turning Point.
  • Cohesive team-building skills, business/administration skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills.

REPORTS TO:

  • Chief Operations Officer of Turning Point SOC

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee daily operations of the ASAM 3.5 facility to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for residents in accordance with ASAM 3.5 standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing substance use disorder treatment facilities.
  • Supervise and support clinical and administrative staff, including conducting regular performance evaluations and facilitating professional development.
  • Coordinate with external partners, including referral sources, healthcare providers, and community organizations, to ensure continuity of care.
  • Manage the facility’s budget, including monitoring expenses and revenue to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Facilitate regular staff meetings and training sessions to ensure team alignment and competency.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic planning for Turning Point that addresses mission, staff development, charity care access, quality improvement, financial performance, market assessment, and general policy and procedures.
  • Be knowledgeable of mission integration, organizational development, managed care, cost reimbursement, and industry trends affecting Turning Point services.
  • Utilize continuous quality improvement philosophies, techniques, and tools in all aspects of the position consistent with the mission of Turning Point.
