We are currently seeking a PRN Pharmacist to join our 16th Street Health Center. This flexible, as-needed role is ideal for someone who is passionate about patient-centered care, community pharmacy services, and making an impact in public health.
Job Summary
As a PRN Pharmacist, you will work collaboratively with the pharmacy and clinical teams to provide retail pharmacy services to patients in our health center. You’ll ensure regulatory compliance, deliver exceptional customer service, and contribute to our mission of improving wellness and chronic disease outcomes through access to affordable medications.
Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Interpret prescriptions and ensure accurate data entry and verification
- Dispense medications safely and efficiently, ensuring patient counseling and education
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and clinic teams to support patient needs
- Maintain accurate inventory and conduct regular audits
- Submit and resolve prescription claims with insurance providers
- Assist patients with access options including 340B, PAP, and other assistance programs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
- Support pharmacy operations through excellent documentation and compliance practices
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Indiana Pharmacist license in good standing (active and unrestricted)
- Completion of APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certificate
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
- Experience in ambulatory, retail, or community pharmacy setting
- Familiarity with the 340B program and FQHC model preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in electronic health records and pharmacy systems
