Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to serve as the Regional Medical Director of our Post Road and Castleton sites, with a primary clinical practice located at the Post Road location. This role combines direct patient care with strategic medical leadership. You’ll help shape the future of our clinical services while ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care across two sites.

This position will lead, support, and guide interdisciplinary provider teams, promote public health efforts, enhance partnerships, and provide expert oversight in quality improvement, compliance, and integrated healthcare delivery.

Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Serves as a ‘paired leader’ with the site(s) Practice Manager in the day-to-day running of the practice and the management of its patient population. Assures that practice design results in accessible care for the patient populations.
  • Provides perspective and leadership to support understanding and analysis of clinical events which occur at the Site. Contributes knowledge to risk management efforts impacting the site. Works in close partnership with the Director of Quality and Population Health, the Compliance Officer, and others in supporting these functions.
  • Promote and maintain clinical excellence through evidence-based guidelines and staff development.
  • Participate in strategic planning, financial oversight, and operational decision-making for JPCHC.
  • Conduct chart audits, peer reviews, and quality assurance evaluations.
  • Coordinate clinical partnerships and community collaborations.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support providers to achieve high performance and patient satisfaction.
  • Provides perspective and leadership to support understanding and analysis of clinical events which occur at the Site. Contributes knowledge to risk management efforts impacting the site. Works in close partnership with the Director of Quality and Population Health, the Compliance Officer, and others in supporting these functions.
  • Actively participate in Public Health efforts and medical leadership for JPCHC Board committees.
  • Support the onboarding and training of students, residents, and new clinical staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Family Medicine residency (preferred)Internal Medicine residency.
  • Board Certification in Family Practice (preferred) or Internal Medicine.
  • Valid DEA license.
  • 5–10 years of clinical experience; 2–5 years of leadership experience in ambulatory or community health settings.
  • Strong knowledge of HRSA standards, community health models, and preventive medicine.
  • Demonstrated cultural competency and commitment to underserved populations.
  • Experience in managing quality initiatives and performance improvement processes.
